Back for the 2009-10 ski season, REI has upped the features and functionality of last year Apple's Staff favorite, the REI Snow Report.
Effortlessly add new resorts around you, stay in touch with participating mountain Twitter feeds, view trail maps, as well as receiving a push notification when your favorite resort gets dumped on. On top of all the features from last year, the REI Snow Report is the app that will help you figure out the best place to spend your days up at the mountain.
Add up to 12 resorts via GPS or pick them from a world wide list and get the vitals such as the amount of trails open, snowfall over the last 72 hours, depth at the base and at the top and a five day forecast. Get conditions, resort cams (if applicable) as well as where exactly that hill is located in Google Maps, plus a trail map to check out while you get your gear ready in the parking lot.
We know your time is precious, so the app also got a makeover under the hood, so expect faster load times and increased performance compared to last year. |
