ABA Receptive Identification
ABA Receptive Identification - Kindergarten.com
Original Release Date for this iPhone App: December 31, 2009
Receptive language is the ability to understand and comprehend what is being said or read. It is an essential part of language development. Children must first understand language before they can be expected to use it. Understanding questions in particular is the foundation for children to participate in conversations with others. This is how children gather information about the world around them and share their personal knowledge with others. Our applications give your child an opportunity to practice their comprehension skills and be successful in a fun, interactive way.

Suitable for early, intermediate and advanced learners, our Receptive Identification application helps children comprehend simple instructions and practice effective listening behaviors. With 85 colorful, concrete images that are of high interest to young children, your child or student will be shown three images per page and asked to identify common objects and people. For example, “touch the cat”, “find the guitar”, “show me the scissors”, or “where is the firefighter”. By adding clearly pronounced audio we are able to offer verbal praise to reward and reinforce your child or student’s appropriate responses as well as encourage vocal imitation.

Classical music is randomly played along with visual reinforcement to maintain your child’s interested while introducing them to the world’s most popular composers such as Mozart, Beethoven and Tchaikovsky.
