1337stocks is an efficient tool for analyzing your positions and scanning for potential investments. The app's interactive charts contain indicators such as SMA, EMA, VWAP, Histograms, RSI, Stochastics, MACD, and Bollinger Bands. In the horizontal charts you can lay out Fibonacci retracements which can be pinched and moved. Parameters for all indicators can be changed. The charts allow scrolling and zooming in and out in time. Daily, weekly, and monthly candle sticks give you a great overview on different time frames, and indicators are calculated for the selected time frame. The charts are adjusted in height automatically.
1337stocks automatic technical analysis, the TA Bot, can batch process all symbols in the app and calculate %-change, RSI, Stochastics, MACD on daily, weekly, and monthly time frames. The TA Bot can also do trend stage classification based on the daily EMA10,20,50 alignments. The trend stage filter and sort features are very useful for finding good swing trading cases without going through all the charts.
The 1337stocks alert feature is a great way to keep track on many stocks. In the charts you can easily set the interesting levels as high and low limits, and the app will let you know when levels are passed giving a sound and vibration alarm. You can see all alerts in an alert table, which is automatically updated every time you (or the autoreload) update the stocks' price data. 1337stocks runs and can give alerts with locked screen, it won't fall asleep.
With 1337stocks you can have several watch lists and several portfolios, each portfolio with its own commission fee. You can follow the history of all transactions and see the results from trades.
Stock data are downloaded from Yahoo! and are normally delayed, US users can switch on real-time quotes for NYSE, NASDAQ (intraday chart from Yahoo! still delayed). Quotes are stored in a local database so 1337stocks can be used offline. Before your next flight, fill up with interesting stocks and run the "TA Bot" to get all quotes up to date. Futures/Option tickers can be stored, exact ticker name from Yahoo! is then needed.
