USAGE
Start off by creating an account entry for each of your main bank accounts, credit cards and savings accounts, and assign it to one of three account groups.

Enter all of your recurring transactions, whether these are daily, weekly, monthly or yearly, every two or more days, weeks, months or years, or something more complicated like the last Friday of every third month. Use the reports to show your balances and cash flow, now and into the future. You will also see when payments are due and if any account is likely to go overdrawn.

To track exactly how much is in each account, quickly enter one-off transactions as they happen. Reconcile this data against your statements by checking off transactions that have been processed.

For each transaction, specify who you are paying or receiving money from and assign it a user-defined category. Use the reports to show a breakdown of spending and income per month or year, both by category and by transaction details. You can add cheque numbers and notes to each transaction too!

Add budgets for spending and income per category to track your cash flow over time.

Track expenses by creating accounts for each source of expense data, e.g. one per employer or perhaps one per business trip. Add a transaction to these accounts for each item you will be expensing, and use the balance to show what you are owed. Once reimbursed, simply add a transfer from the expense account back to your own account.
